Festival was held in two parts this year as well as an added awards program.
The first part; A fundraising festival for the "HeartBeat of Sandusky Pregnancy
Center and Maternity Home" held at Faith Memorial Church Grounds on East Strub
Rd. off Rt 250 in Sandusky. The festival will consist of food and music will
start at 4pm on Friday August 21, 2009. HeartBeat volunteers will be the only
food vendors but other vendors are invited. They will be selling BBQ Chicken and
Rib Dinners. Sat. August 22, 2009 The Blessings Music & Awards Fest will
continue in Lorain at the Black River Landings Festival grounds starting at 8am.
The traditional 8am Men's prayer group will include a women's prayer group with
all invited. During the one-hour prayer group time, the Walk-A-Thon "Walls of
Jericho Walk" will commence. At 9am we will have a welcome from Politicians and
a welcome to Pastors. At 10am music will commence untill 10 pm. Over 35 musical
acts will be on hand to perform at both locations. $2 and a food can will be
collected at both locations to support HeartBeat of Sandusky, The Salvation Army
of Lorain and the Love Center Cupboard of Lorain. We welcome food and other
vendors, Volunteers, Musicians, and especially Sponsors. We also welcome the new
recipients for the 2009 Blessings Outreach Awards.-

Blessings Music Festival will include this year the 2nd Blessings Outreach
Awards Program since 2005. This year there are 23 awards categories opposed to
only 15 in 2005. The Awards presentation will be at 2pm and the recipients

Motivational/Inspirational Speaker Yvonne Pointer Positive Plus 23. A Special
Award called the "Drug Free Through Christ Award" to honor the founders of the
program: Minister Freddie Garcia and Bishop Hannibal/Body of Christ: The award
is given to a person who has turned his life around from drugs, alcohol or
prison for a minimum of 5 years. Our two recipients have not only turned their
lives away from Drugs, Gangs and Prison, but also became Pastors. Pastor Charles
"Chuck Howard has helped reach out to those in need in areas where other pastors
don't go: Prison, Shelters, Rehabs. Pastor P also known as Lil Pito has been a
favorite in the schools and churches in Lorain and Cleveland for over 5 years
due to his versatile style. Our recipients for the Drug Free Through Christ
Award goes to Pastor Chuck Howard and Pastor P aka Lil Pito, from Milwaukee
Wisconsin. He will be here August 21th, and 22 for the Blessings Music Fest
as well as to minister in churches all over Lorain and
